OBJECTIVES
1. To foster social and emotional development through:
  • Promoting a positive identity and self-image for each child.
  • Teaching to relate to his or her peers.
  • Teaching to co-operate within a group.
  • Promoting socially acceptable ways of expressing anger and frustration.

2. To build a child's creative potentials with:

Art: including singing, creative movement, creative theater, drawing, painting, and arts & crafts.

MUSIC: Research has shown that the circuit for math resides in the brain's cortex, near that for music. Therefore music lessons help to develop spatial skills. For this reason the program involves music, movement, and singing. For the child two years and up, violin will be introduced, as this is one of the few melodious classical instruments, which can be taught this young. The beginning lessons are calculated around the child's stamina of 15 minutes, and the teacher's main object is to foster a positive attitude toward music and the learning of the instrument.

DANCE: Is another art form of expressing feelings, emotions, passion, discipline, and great beauty of body and mind. At ThePIP Center we start with music and movement classes, which may eventually develop into beginning classical ballet.

GYMNASTICS: Is derived from the ancient Greek word "disciplinary exercises." And, physical fitness is important in our daily lives. At PDC Center we incorporate gymnastics into the program by starting with early introduction to tumble-tots and moving on to more advanced levels according to the child's age and readiness.

But how their parents and others treat them will shape their characters."
